The State Theatre Summer Concert Series is a partnership between the State Theatre, the most active promoter in southern Maine, and Thompson’s Point. The State Theatre team operates three venues and produces and promotes over 250 concerts a year in Portland and throughout Maine. Since its grand re-opening in October 2010, the historic State Theatre has hosted the finest in national talent from hot buzz bands to musical icons including Bon Iver, The Decemberists, Elvis Costello, Brandi Carlile, and Alabama Shakes. Maggie Rogers, Gillian Welch, the Avett Brothers, Lord Huron, St. Vincent and more.

The State Theatre & Thompson’s Point began its summer concert series in 2015 on the banks of the Fore River and since then has hosted the best in national talent (and the best concert sunsets as well) including The Lumineers, Bob Dylan, Wilco, The Head and The Heart, Lake Street Dive and more.

The Depot Pavilion + Concessions at Thompson’s Point is a waterfront, outdoor venue on the southern tip of the Thompson’s Point peninsula in Portland, Maine. Anchored by the restored Union Station platform shed that was saved from demolition and moved to Thompson’s Point in the late 1960s, the venue is home to the State Theatre Summer Concert Series, as well as a range of regular programming offerings featuring food trucks and outdoor entertainment, festivals, and more. The State Theatre serves as the exclusive live music promoter for Thompson’s Point.
